EnergyStar Certification

BETCO Inc. certifies that the metal roof panels it provides for applications listed below and in the colors listed below are “Eligible Building Envelop Components” that qualify for the tax credit allowed under § 25C of the Internal Revenue Code for Energy Star Cool Roofing. Furthermore, the purchased product:

a) Is appropriately pigmented and is specifically and primarily designed to reduce the heat gain of a dwelling unit when installed on the dwelling unit; and,

b) Meets or exceeds Energy Star® Roof program requirements for steep-slope roofs (as in effect at the time of installation), in accordance with IRS Notice 2006-26.

All painted panels carry a 40 year warranty for applications in non-corrosive environments

Qualifying Applications

• The original use of the panel commences with the taxpayer.
• Panels are installed on the roof of the taxpayer’s principal residence.
• The residence is not new construction
• The residence is owned and used by the taxpayer at time of installation
• The residence is located inside the United States
• Roof slope is > 2:12
